“ MENZIEs’ ” - GRACE STEWART-SKINNER
Grace is a Clàrsach player based in Glasgow. I’d worked with Grace previously on a Gaelic song ‘Thig am Bata’ for her duo Cionar, for which I’d taken a live recording of theirs and produced an accompaniment using samples, guitars and synths. For this project we went down a similar path - I recorded and filmed her solo performance of this original tune, and added orchestral swells, vocals, and piano.
